The Owners
Kathy: Ohio State Floriculture Graduate, Ohio Florist Association Member, Schneider’s Owner. Kathy is an excellent designer, buyer, and floral manager. She works to ensure that Schneider’s always has the freshest, highest quality flowers available for our customers. She is the reason customers say: “Schneider's flowers last so long!”
Bill: An Ohio State Floriculture Graduate, formerly served on the OFA board of directors, Schneider's Owner. Bill keeps Schneider’s on the leading edge of technology and flower longevity. The Designers
Susie: With over 25 years of floral design experience, Susie trained under renowned floral designer Bill Hixon, and is one of Schneider’s creative specialists. She enjoys designing high style and chic bouquets, as well as traditional with flair. Susie is a Springfield native and seems to know just about everyone.
Amy: As Schneider’s primary wedding consultant, Amy has over 25 years of design experience and she received training at American Floral Arts in Chicago. Customers can utilize Amy’s wealth of creative ideas and talents as well as special occasion planning and out of town ordering.
Sheri: Schneider’s gift basket specialist, Sheri is responsible for most fruit and gift baskets. She is also an excellent floral designer and team member. Sheri is always willing to answer questions or assist customers in putting together the perfect arrangement that sends just the right message.
Sheila: Coming from a long line of florists, Shelia is a member of the Slough’s Florist family, and worked for the family business early on. She worked for a few different owners until she came to Schneider’s in 2007. She is one of our primary sympathy and show designers, but also enjoys party work and traditional designs.
Allison: No stranger to hard work, Allison is another one of our highly skilled designers. She too performs wedding consultations and is great at assisting customers with creating that perfect arrangement. Allison is an Ohio Certified Florist and always greets customers with a smile.
The Office Staff
Michelle: As our office manager Michelle can answer questions about statements and payments. If there is a problem with the website; contact Michelle. She also manages our Facebook page, blog, and other social media sites. Michelle can answer questions about almost anything and if she does not immediately know the answer she will research the issue until she finds a satisfactory resolution.
Leigh Anne: The newest addition to the Schneider’s team, Leigh Anne our office assistant helps keep the office running smoothly. She can assist with billing and payment issues. Leigh Anne also answers the call of duty by answering phones and assisting customers in the store when needed.
The Delivery Drivers
Dick B.: A Springfield High School graduate and lifetime resident, Dick retired from Navistar in 1982, and has delivered with Schneider’s for over 20 years. Mr. Barch. has 2 children, 2 grandchildren, and has been married to his lovely wife Mary Jane for over 50 years.
Dick F.: With his white beard and jolly smile, Dick finds it hard not to play Santa at Christmas time. Also a Springfield High graduate, Dick has been with Schneider’s for 12 years. He started delivering flowers after retiring from the William Bailey, Co. in 1997 with 47 years of service. Dick and his wife Paula have 2 children, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and have been married for over 50 years. If Dick is delivering a customer’s bouquet they are sure to be greeted with a warm smile.
Tom: After retiring from the post office as a mail carrier in 1992, Tom found it impossible to stay home. His friendly nature draws him to people. Tom has been with Schneider’s since 2006, has a daughter, 2 grandchildren, and has been married to his sweetie Sue for over 40 years. Most mornings Tom can be found having a cup of coffee and baked goods with friends.
Other Drivers
We also employ additional drivers during the holidays. They are all very friendly and adhere to Schneider’s high standards of service.
